Utah State has hired Todd Judge as the program’s new head coach.
Judge spent the last two seasons on staff at BYU, serving as a volunteer assistant in 2022 and as a full-time assistant and third base coach during the 2023 season.
“We are excited to introduce Todd as our next head softball coach,” Utah State interim athletic director Jerry Bovee said in a statement. “He has passion and energy for the game of softball. His knowledge and experience of the game, paired with his dedication to the student-athlete experience, is a great combination for our program. We look forward to watching Todd lead our softball team to the top of the league.”
Prior to joining the BYU staff, Judge coached at the junior college level and in travel ball in both baseball and softball. He was the co-founder of the Oro Valley Sun Cats club organization.
During the 2023 season, Utah State finished with an 18-26 overall record and a 9-13 showing in Mountain West conference play.
