Top 10: Head Coaching Hires of the 2021 College Offseason

The official tally came in at fifty-three. That’s 53 Division 1 head coaching positions that changed hands this summer. In a departure from previous years, only two Power Five jobs changed hands, both due to coaches retiring, and in both cases, the program’s top assistant coach was promoted into the head coaching role.

As part of our continued preseason coverage leading up to the 2022 college softball season, here are our picks for the best head coaching hires in Division 1 softball this summer.
