Travel Ball Coach Miranda Sandoval Arrested, Charged with Indecency with a Child by Contact

A San Antonio-based travel ball coach was arrested earlier this week.

24-year old Miranda Sandoval, who had coached for a Texas Bombers team based in San Antonio, was arrested on Tuesday. She was charged with indecency with a child by contact, according to local media reports. Her bond was set at $65,000.

According to a report from News4 in San Antonio, the parents of a juvenile met with the Converse Police Department earlier this week to report an alleged inappropriate relationship between their daughter and her softball coach.

Indecency with a child by contact is a second-degree felony in Texas and carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Sandoval played college softball at Mississippi Valley State and was a senior during the 2020 season.
