Virginia Tech’s visit to Tennessee’s Sherri Parker Lee Stadium (pictured) on Wednesday night was the most-watched midweek game this season on ESPN’s family of networks.

Wednesday night’s showdown between Virginia Tech and Tennessee was seen by 343,000 viewers on ESPN, according to ShowBuzzDaily.com, giving the matchup the 3rd-highest viewership number of any softball telecast during the regular season.

The game was also the most-watched midweek game this season of any that have been televised on ESPN’s family of networks.

Thursday night’s game between Clemson and Florida State brought in 245,000 viewers on ESPN2, a number that is up significantly from the April 14th debut of ESPN’s Thursday Night Throwdown spotlight game between Oregon and Arizona which drew 194,000 viewers a week earlier.

Elsewhere, the Kentucky-Arkansas game from Fayetteville on Saturday night drew 274,000 viewers on ESPN. That viewership mark made it the most-watched game of Week 10 of the season.
