
Wednesday night’s showdown between Virginia Tech and Tennessee was seen by 343,000 viewers on ESPN, according to ShowBuzzDaily.com, giving the matchup the 3rd-highest viewership number of any softball telecast during the regular season.
The game was also the most-watched midweek game this season of any that have been televised on ESPN’s family of networks.
Thursday night’s game between Clemson and Florida State brought in 245,000 viewers on ESPN2, a number that is up significantly from the April 14th debut of ESPN’s Thursday Night Throwdown spotlight game between Oregon and Arizona which drew 194,000 viewers a week earlier.
Elsewhere, the Kentucky-Arkansas game from Fayetteville on Saturday night drew 274,000 viewers on ESPN. That viewership mark made it the most-watched game of Week 10 of the season.
