Two 2020 Extra Elite 100 Players Among Additions to the Signing/Verbal Database!

Hayley Eaton, pictured here with coaches Lu Harris-Champer & Tony Baldwin, is a 2020 commit to Georgia.

Thanks to all those who reach out to us via our emails, social media and "I Committed" page (see info below)... one of those who did so this recently had some happy news to share:

Hayley Eaton, a 2020 centerfielder/second baseman with Jay Roberson's Birmingham Thunderbolts 16U team, told us that she has committed to the University of Georgia when she wrote in about two weeks ago.

"I am truly blessed to announce that I have committed to attend the University of Georgia to pursue my academic and athletic softball career.

Hayle Eaton

I am a 2020 scholar/athlete currently with a 4.2 GPA and plan to study Exercise and Sport Science.

I want to thank God for making all of this possible. I would also like to thank all of my coaches along with my family to make this dream a reality for me. Go Dawgs!

She was ranked #54 in the 2020 Extra Elite 100 and, among other things in her bio at the time we wrote:

Hayley is a speedster and elite athlete who has flown under the radar after missing time because of an illness, but she’s back to 100 percent and is back to being one of the hottest recruits in the 2020 class...

... one coach says she could be one of the top players to ever come out of the Bolts organization by the time she graduates.

A tireless worker who hits for a high average and has power as well, she batted .400 this year for Calvary Christian (Clearwater, Florida) and didn’t make an error in the field.

And our Twitter Post of the Week goes to Taylor Nicholson, a great shortstop who also was an Extra Elite 100 player in the 2020 class as well.

Among our other comments for the standout was that:

(Taylor) knows how to step up her game on the biggest stages as shown by her hitting two walk-offs at PGF 18U Premier Nationals this summer.

She has dominated at the high school level as well, earning 1st Team All-State honors twice at Warhill (Williamsburg, Virginia) High where she batted .550 as a sophomore with a .735 on-base percentage, a .1.025 slugging percentage and a 1.760 OPS. She also went 23-26 in steals this year...

... says one coach, “Her softball IQ is off the charts which is no surprise as her mother, Angela, is the head softball coach at Hampton University and her father, Richard, is an assistant coach there.

Here's her happy announcement via Twitter:
