Rachel Fox, the former Texas A&M and Texas A&M pitching standout who went on to pro success including winning a NPF title in 2017 with the Scrap Yard Dawgs, is giving back to the game by coaching the Oklahoma Pure 16U team.
Rachel, who finished her college career between the two Lone Star State schools with a 70-29 record, a 2.71 ERA and 517 K’s, went to the NCAA Regionals all-four years in college and knows what it’s like to play at an elite level.
We caught up with her this summer at Top Club Nationals between games and Rachel talks about what she’s doing these days, how softball has changed since she finished playing in 2015 and more.
And, as you’ll see at the very end of the video, she had to run to catch the start of one of the Pure’s games (thanks to some talkative interviewer who wouldn’t let her go… oops)!
