One question we get asked all the time is, “What opportunities are there to work in softball after I’m done playing?”

One success story that should be an example to all young softball players and their parents is that of Amber Freeman, who was both a Softball All-American AND an Academic All-American at Arizona State in 2015.
You can learn more about her in a March article we published where the Southern California native and three-time All-American talked about overcoming injuries and “Why I Didn’t Quit When Told I’d Never Play Again.”
Also in the article, Amber talked about what she’s doing today: running a training facility in La Mirada, California called The Warehouse Sports where she gets to use her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education to teach and train the next generation of, well, Amber Freemans!
In this video clip, we caught up with Amber and her parents, Mike and Luanne Freeman, to hear about how they emphasized academics along with the athletics and how it culminated with where she is today… giving back to the game.
