If you’re looking for a blue-chip catcher over the next decade, you might want to get to know Art Mujica, a travel ball coach in the Power Surge organization out of San Diego, pretty well.
That’s because he has not one, but two of the top-ranked catchers in the nation in his family!
Sofia Mujica is a Top 10 ranked catcher in the 2024 Extra Elite 100 published last Fall (it will be updated in the next month) and is at PGF Nationals Week 2 to watch her younger sister, Alexis, who is also a top 100-rated catcher herself in the 2027 Extra Elite 100.
The older sibling was invited to play in last week’s PGF Futures All-American Game and, although Sofia’s in the stands now cheering her sister, she has a very busy future in the upcoming month as she will begin taking her multiple campus visits to some of the top Power 5 college programs in the nation.
