Veteran play-by-play broadcaster Beth Mowins has signed a multi-year contract with the network.
Mowins’ new deal was announced as part of ESPN’s college football release on Wednesday; the deal is for an unspecified length, but does go for multiple years.
The voice of the Women’s College World Series, Mowins has been the softball championship’s primary game-caller for more than two decades. In addition to calling softball for ESPN, she also works college football and college basketball games and has previously called the NFL.
Earlier this summer, Mowins was selected as the Best Play-by-Play broadcaster in the inaugural Golden Mic Awards, celebrating softball broadcasting.
In addition to her regular assignments for ESPN, Mowins also works some games as a Chicago Cubs play-by-play announcer on Marquee Sports and also called softball for NBC during the Tokyo Olympics.
