Our site focuses on a specific range of topics so please make sure you read these submission guidelines carefully. We will not accept guest posts that do not meet the requirements listed below.
GUEST POST QUALITY GUIDELINES
Each post needs to be 100 percent original and cannot have been published on other websites or print publications. We are looking for unique and inspiring ideas with topics that will engage our readers. Using recent information in your post is a key factor. Additional guidelines are listed below.
FORMATTING
● Subheads should include your main keyword and related LSI keywords.
● Use subheadings and bullet points where applicable.
● Keep paragraphs short (ideally 1-4 sentences maximum).
● There should be space on the page. It’s how people like to read.
● You can cite your own research, but DO NOT link directly to product/service pages. (You will have an author bio section where you can link up to two locations of your choice).
● If any quotes or photographs are used in your post, they must be correctly attributed.
● Your guest post should be between 1,000 and 2,000 words. Anything less, and the post is usually not detailed enough.
LINKS
- ● We require at least three links to offsite (and unaffiliated) resources citing some sort of data or examples to back up your claims/statements.
- ● Provide the links to relevant internal and external resources.
- ● You are welcome to link to your own social media profiles, your own blog or website, and other assets from your own business within your post, but Extra Inning Softball reserves the right to remove third-party affiliate links.
- ● If possible, include video content by uploading your video to Vimeo and then provide us with the link inside your post.
- ● Look for Extra Inning Softball to promote your content using a variety of social networks, but also feel free to share that link with your own network for maximum exposure.
PHOTOS AND GRAPHICS
● Relevant photos and graphics that enhance the post’s message are encouraged for each submission. The best are high-resolution, color JPEG files (.jpg)
● Always send your photos as an email attachment to info@extrainningsoftball.com, and in the subject line, include your name and post title.
● You need cleared rights and a source for all photos, or they will not be used. Images need to be royalty-free (provide source). No stock photos are allowed.
REPOSTING/SHARING
● Extra Inning Softball retains exclusivity of the post for 24 hours after publication. After that, contributors and guest posters can repost on their personal blogs or websites with attribution to the original post.
● Obtain Extra Inning Softball’s permission before reposting the content on a third-party site.
EDITING
● Extra Inning Softball will edit each post. Edits may be made to adhere to Extra Inning Softball’s style guidelines. We may also edit your post for length.
● Your submission is subject to review by the Extra Inning Softball editorial staff and does not guarantee automatic publication. By submitting your post to Extra Inning Softball, you acknowledge and agree to adhere to our editorial guidelines and grant permission for Extra Inning Softball’s editor to edit your post.
AUTHOR INFORMATION
● We expect the author to be a real-time expert (verifiable with a LinkedIn profile demonstrating expertise in the real-time market). We do not accept posts/articles from content, marketing, or SEO writers.
● With each submission, please include the following:
○ A brief author bio (150 words or less)
○ Author’s email address for public posting
○ A high-resolution, color headshot photo
○ Social media handles for the author and company
ONCE APPROVED
If your post has been approved by our editorial department, one of our administrative staff will email you terms and guidelines, which must be signed before the publication of your post. Our staff will also provide you with a link to complete your payment. Payment must be received prior to your post being published.
TIMELINE FOR PUBLISHING
Once we receive a draft of your post, it typically takes between two to three weeks to review, prepare, and schedule for posting. Your editor will coordinate a specific publication date with you and will send you a link to your post when it goes live.

Due to the volume of pitches we receive, please follow the instructions below. If you don’t, we will assume you have not read these guidelines and will ignore your email.
COST: $1,000 for your article to be publishd on our platform for 4 weeks
● Create your post in a Microsoft Word document.
● Run your draft through Hemingway or Grammarly (or both).
● Email your completed document to info@extrainningsoftball.com
● In the subject line, state [title of your post] and “PITCH PROPOSAL.”
● Inside the body of the email, include your name, email, & phone number. Don’t forget to attach your Word document.
● Allow up to 2 weeks for a response.
