Jennifer Strawley has been hired as the new athletic director at Elon, the school announced.
Strawley, a veteran administrator, is also a former college softball player.
Most recently, Strawley spent a decade on staff at Miami, including a brief tenure as interim athletic director in 2021, and was the department’s Senior Woman Administrator.
During her career, Strawley has served on various NCAA and ACC committees, including the NCAA Strategic Vision Committee, the ACC Television Committee, and as chair of the ACC Senior Woman Administrator group on the ACC Board of Directors.
Prior to her lengthy tenure at Miami, Strawley worked at the NCAA and at Columbia University.
As a collegiate athlete, Strawley was a two-year team captain of the Penn softball team. She graduated in 1998
