Event Results: Select 30 National Training Camp… Top Performers, HR Derby Leaders & Select 30 Team Selections

The 2021 Select 30 National Training Camp was held January 15-18 in Viera, Florida and brought in some of the elite softball players in the graduating classes of 2021 through 2026.

The event was featured several days of instruction, training, and playing live games. The athletes were evaluated on their metrics and game performances and then 30 players from each of the grad years (2021-2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026) were selected as the Select 30 and divided into two teams (red and blue).

The level of talent at this year’s event was especially impressive and was recognized by the Select 30 organizers.

“This year’s Select 30 was by far the most competitive event yet,” Courtney Ceo, the National Fastpitch Programs Director, told Extra Inning Softball. “The athletes’ ability to experience the college atmosphere and high intensity training will be incredibly valuable to their development. These top athletes trained in classroom sessions, media training, position specific practices, and highly competitive games all while being coached by college athletes, college coaches, and professional athletes.”

According to Ceo, the 2021 Select 30 accomplished what it set out to do.

“Our goal with the Select 30 National Training Camp is to provide elite training by elite coaches with top level athletes and this year was exactly that,” she explained. “We can’t help but also give a huge thank you to Easton and Marucci for sponsoring the event with bats and gloves for the athletes who made the Select 30 teams. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success. We look forward to seeing you again next year.”
