This is Brentt Eads of Extra Inning Softball…

Before I started this site and even going back to before I worked at FloSoftball out of Texas and ESPN in Bristol, Connecticut for close to four years, I started my professional career with a company based out of Torrance, California called Student Sports.

I worked at Student Sports for over two decades and learned so much about the sports media business, but I also had a front row seat in seeing how elite events are run and produced–particularly in football (i.e. Nike Football Training Camps, Elite 11 QB Camps) and baseball (the Area Code Baseball Games).

Keep an eye on Area Code Softball this Fall, in 2022 and beyond!

The Area Code Baseball Games have long been one of the premier showcases for high school-aged baseball prospects who compete in games played before MLB scouts from every organization.

This Summer, I learned that those behind Area Code Baseball and Student Sports are entering into the softball space with the Area Code Softball ID Series that was announced just this week.

My reaction? Wow, I couldn’t be happier because I know how great this will be for the sport!

I have seen up-close and behind the scenes how Area Code Baseball is run and I cannot speak highly enough of those involved. My plan is to attend each of the three AC Softball events this Fall and as many as I can make in the future.

Area Code Softball will help athletes get better, get seen and get scouted–their motto is “Test. Train. Compete.”–and, from what I’ve heard so far, the players and trainers who will be working these events are the best of the best.

I’m proud to say Extra Inning Softball will be covering and promoting these events and, even though the Fall is a busy time with showcases, tourneys and such, I recommend that those talented players in the Class of 2023, ’24, ’25 or ’26 make it to one of the three events, their schedules willing.

More info is below… and if you do plan on attending, please let me know by dropping an email–I’ll look forward to saying hello to you in person!
