I Committed: Avery Layton Lands A Spot on Virginia Tech’s Roster

Avery Layton, a 2025 pitcher for the Extreme Elite 18U National, has committed to Virginia Tech.

Avery Layton, a pitcher for the Extreme Elite 18U National squad, has announced her decision to play Division I softball in the ACC at Virginia Tech, starting in the fall of 2025.

Avery with her Rossville High School teammates in May, celebrating 500 career strikeouts.

Hailing from Rossville, Indiana, Avery first took the field at the age of five.

“I would spend hours in the yard making my parents pitch to me and play catch,” shared the athlete. “I began pitching lessons when I was eight and quickly fell in love with it.”
