Bonnie Holland - Chief Executive Officer

Welcome to our platform dedicated to celebrating the passion, dedication, and talent of female athletes across the nation. We are thrilled to have you here as we embark on a new and exciting initiative to Empower, Inspire, and Support (EIS 2.0) softball players and every level of the game.

At Extra Inning Softball, we understand the importance of recognizing and amplifying the incredible achievements of softball players, from the rising stars to the seasoned veterans. Our goal is to provide a platform where players can shine and fans can connect with the vibrant and dynamic world of fastpitch softball.

Carie Dever-Boaz

Carie Dever-Boaz, Public Relations & Media Engagement Director at Extra Inning Softball, is a distinguished figure in the softball community, known for her exceptional contributions as a player, coach, and mentor. At Woodlake High School, she was a standout three-sport athlete, earning 11 varsity letters in volleyball, basketball, and softball. Her talent led her to Fresno State University, where she became the first recruit of legendary coach, Margie Wright. At Fresno State, Dever-Boaz excelled as a pitcher and third baseman, compiling an 84-12 record with 58 shutouts and six no-hitters. She was a three-time All-American, two-time Academic All-American, and competed in four Women’s College World Series, finishing as runner-up three times.

Dever-Boaz went on to coach at South Carolina, Arkansas, Florida, Virginia, NWCC, and West Alabama. In 1999, she earned SEC Coach of the Year honors after leading Arkansas to a 46-29 record and a runner-up finish in the SEC Tournament. She later managed the Washington Glory in the National Pro Fastpitch league, guiding them to the 2007 championship and earning Manager of the Year.

Beyond coaching, she authored The Art of Pitching, produced instructional videos, and has spoken internationally, leading clinics in Holland and Canada. She currently serves as Director of Operations at Extra Inning Softball, continuing to shape the sport with her leadership. Married with two children, Dever-Boaz’s legacy is defined by excellence, mentorship, and lasting impact on the game.

Jayden Mount

Jayden Mount, Community Engagement Specialist at Extra Inning Softball, brings an extensive softball background to her role. In 2018, Jayden was named to the 2nd Team All-Sunbelt as a shortstop, and she was also honored as a 2nd Team All-South Region shortstop by the NFCA.

In 2019, Mount continued to excel, earning a spot on the Sunbelt All-Tournament Team and receiving preseason All-Sunbelt Team honors for three consecutive years (2019, 2020, 2021). In 2021 Mount was named a 1st Team All-Sunbelt Utility Player and a 3rd Team All-South Region Utility Player by the NFCA.

Mount holds the distinction of being ranked 1st in program history for the single-season on-base percentage with an impressive .561 OBP. She also tied for 1st in program history for the single-season hit by pitch record with 25 HBP.

Mount served as the Assistant Softball Coach at the University of South Alabama from August 2022 until May 2024 when she started working with Extra Inning Softball.

Jayden’s academic achievements are equally impressive. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management with a minor in Psychology from the University of Louisiana Monroe in May 2020. She then went on to obtain her Master’s Degree in Exercise Science, with a concentration in Sport Management, from the same institution in May 2022.

Katie Lively: Extra Inning Softball -Communications Director

Katie Lively

Katie Lively, Media and Research Advisor at Extra Inning Softball, played collegiately at Troy University in Alabama. She played five seasons at Troy and appeared in 162 games while making 119 career starts. She batted a career-high .364 in 2020 and finished the season with eight doubles, three home runs and 15 RBIs. Lively posted a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage in four of her five seasons.

Lively was named First Team All-Sun Belt Conference in 2021 as she batted .303 with 11 doubles, seven home runs and a career-best 37 RBIs. Led by Lively, Troy posted a 37-17 record and advanced to the Tuscaloosa Regional of the NCAA Tournament, which marked the second all-time appearance for the Trojans in the tournament.

Lively graduated from Troy University in 2023 with a master’s degree in strategic communications.

Laina Holmgren

Laina Holmgren, Rankings and Media Coordinator helps guide the Extra Elite 100 rankings and supports editorial coverage. Her role also includes serving as a liaison with the Rankings Committee, ensuring communication flows smoothly and the process remains organized and efficient.

Laina brings a strong softball background, having played collegiately at Boise State University and Charleston Southern University before coaching at George Washington University, the University of Louisiana at Monroe, and the College of Charleston. Her combined player and coaching experience gives her a unique perspective on evaluating talent and celebrating athletes at every level of the game.

A Southern California native, Laina now lives in Charleston, SC, where she is surrounded by family and supported by her fiancé, Seth Frasier. She is passionate about the people who make softball special and is committed to helping Extra Inning Softball continue growing as the sport’s leading hub for rankings, coverage, and community.
