Jenna Donohoo, a member of the class of 2024 committed to play collegiate softball at the University of Evansville, has thrived on some of her state’s biggest athletic stages despite hailing from the small town of Lynnville, Indiana–population 1,071.
Over the last 21 months, Donohoo’s Tecumseh Braves have played for five state titles in three different sports–and there is potential for more for the Indiana small school powerhouse located northeast of Evansville.
“We’re all really close,” said Donohoo, a senior ranked academically near the top of her graduating class. “I know you hear that from everybody but it’s such a small school. I play three sports, so do a lot of girls.
“When I was in elementary school, I played up in travel ball. We played travel basketball, travel softball and travel volleyball together. We all played together so many times and we are all genuine friends.”

As a sophomore, she led Tecumseh to the Indiana High School Athletic Association Class A girls’ basketball state championship. Three months later, she added a second state title with the Braves’ fourth softball state championship.
