Who has the hottest team in Texas … check that, who has the hottest team in the country? It would be hard to argue that it’s not Texas Riptide 07.
The Riptide won the Hotshots Spring Showdown two weeks ago and this past weekend they bested a loaded field of teams to win the Triple Crown Bomber Shootout in College Station, TX.
Khamari Hall went 2 for 5 with two runs scored, Addi Smith went 1 for 4 with an RBI, Alisa Sneed went 2 for 4 with two runs scored, a stolen base and an RBI, Abbey Papadimitriou went 1 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI, Avery Evans-Pickens went 2 for 4 with two runs scored, Marigny Thomas went 2 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI and Hunter Quentel drove in two runs to lead the Riptide past Texas Bombers Gold-Malpass, 8-4, in 14U Gold Bracket finals.
Ella Lozano was the workhorse in the circle for the Riptide all weekend and she got the complete game victory in the championship game.
The Riptide beat Impact Gold Premier 07-Torres, 13-5, Centex Buzz Gold, 6-1, Hotshots Premier 07-Hawkins, 9-1, Texas Bombers Gold-Cruz, 7-2, and Texas Bombers Gold-Malpass in bracket play on Sunday en route to the championship.

Hotshots Platinum 06 HTX pulled out an 8-7 win over Texas Shock 07 in the 14U Silver Bracket finals, American Freedom Gold 2K25 beat Epic 07 National, 4-0, in the 14U Bronze Bracket finals and Athletics Mercado-Bonola/Harrington took down Waco Heat-Ramirez, 8-1, in the 14U Round Rock Bracket finals.
Presley Kilgore went 3 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI, Hutton Adrian went 3 for 3 with an RBI, Presley Beck went 1 for 3 with two RBIs and Avery Howerton went 2 for 3 with two doubles, a run scored and an RBI as Texas Glory 2K26 beat Impact Gold National-Mendoza, 6-1, in the 12U Gold Bracket finals.
Both teams earned berths to the Alliance Fastpitch Regional Championships.
Bombers STX-Kennedy beat Impact Gold Premier-Hatch, 7-3, in the 12U Gold Bracket finals.
Blaze McBride 2010 defeated CTX Bombers-Madsen, 15-4, to win the 10U title.
