The Class of 2028 Rankings have officially wrapped — and what a phenomenal cycle it’s been. From every corner of the country, these athletes showcased a level of talent, drive, and consistency that firmly places this class among the most competitive we’ve ever evaluated. They didn’t just rise to the moment; they set the bar for what’s ahead in fastpitch softball.
Now, let’s hear from some of the Extra Inning Softball team regarding their thoughts on the Class of 2028 rankings.
Regional Rankings: Power Across the Map
The rollout began with our Regional Hitters Hotlists, spotlighting the top 100 hitters from each region — the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, Mountain, and West.
Each region brought its own identity to the plate: the Northeast’s precision, the Southeast’s power, the Midwest’s balance, the Southwest’s fire, the Mountain region’s grit, and the West’s trademark flair.
