Monday’s Weekly Roundup unintentionally omitted the Top Performers segment. That’s an important piece, spotlighting the performances and achievements of any number of players during last week’s games.

Instead of letting that omission go uncorrected, we’re publishing this article today solely to spotlight some of the best performances in Week 6.

Karina Gaskins, Notre Dame – In five games this week, Gaskins batted .750 and drove in eleven runs. She recorded a double and two home runs, and scored eight times in addition to her own run production. She recorded at least one run scored and one RBI in every game this week.

Danielle Gibson, Arkansas – The hard-hitting Razorbacks slugger paced her team’s offense this week, batting .600 with three home runs and eight RBI in a weekend 3-game series. In one game against Tennessee, Gibson hit a pair of home runs, including a grand slam that broke the affair open for her Hogs. On Monday night, Gibson added two more home runs against Western Kentucky.

Lynnsie Elam, Oklahoma – Lynnsie Elam has a lot of experience in Oklahoma City, and she put that experience to good use this week with an absolute power show at the plate. Her weekend included a 3-home-run performance against Iowa, and she totaled four home runs and 12 RBIs on the week. She batted .556, and each of her hits went for extra bases.

Jada Cody, UCF – The Knights’ leading run producer kept her impressive season rolling this weekend, batting .636 on the week and collecting ten RBI to add to her season’s total. Cody was an extra-base-hit machine for UCF, knocking three doubles, two triples, and hitting one home run, while scoring a total of five runs.

Meagan Smith, UT-Arlington – Smith batted .500 in five games, including a conference series sweep and a victory over Oklahoma State, and hit two home runs with nine RBI. She hit a 2-run home run against OSU in the upset win.

Alexa Williams, George Washington – With six games for her team this week, Williams hit a home run in five of them. She collected 12 RBIs on the week, totaled six extra-base hits, and hit her first career grand slam in the series finale against Saint Joseph’s. She also provided the go-ahead home run on Saturday and the winning run on Sunday against Fordham.
