Craig Snider is the new head coach at Texas Tech.

Snider spent the last three seasons as the lead assistant and hitting coach at Texas A&M, shepherding the Aggie offense through some of their best seasons in recent memory. During the 2022 campaign, the Aggies batted .281 as a team, with 69 home runs, 328 runs scored, and a team OPS of .859.

In addition to serving as the Aggies’ hitting coach, Snider was also the program’s recruiting coordinator.

Prior to his tenure in College Station, Snider was on staff at Florida State for eight seasons. During his time in Tallahassee, the Seminoles made seven appearances in the Super Regionals and three trips to the Women’s College World Series, winning the national championship in 2018.

His resume also includes stints on staff at Lindsey Wilson College, Centenary, Oklahoma, and Stephen F. Austin.

Texas Tech finished the 2022 season with a 22-27 overall record, including a 5-13 showing in Big 12 play. The Red Raiders fired head coach Sami Ward on May 1st, then went 0-1 in the Big 12 tournament under an interim coaching staff to end their season.
