Tara Tarnowski: Mental Health
As part of our ambassador program, each participant was encouraged to write an article to be featured on our website. Throughout the program, we focused on our core values: empowering, inspiring, and supporting the softball community. To embody this mission, the ambassadors were tasked with selecting an advocacy topic they felt passionate about. Tara Tarnowski, one of our ambassadors, chose to focus on the importance of mental health for softball athletes.
Tarnowski highlighted the significance of maintaining mental well-being, emphasized resources for athletes, and offered actionable strategies for supporting one’s mental health on and off the field. The other ambassadors were also encouraged to dive deep into their chosen subjects by interviewing experts, conducting research, and speaking with softball players to gain valuable insights. This project allowed the ambassadors to raise mental health awareness, spark meaningful conversations, and discover ways to support individuals within their chosen area of focus—showcasing their dedication to making a positive impact in the softball world.
