Alex Storako is transferring to Oklahoma, she announced on Monday.
“Excited to announce that I will be pursuing my Master’s degree and playing softball at the University of Oklahoma Can’t wait to be a Sooner! #BoomerSooner,” Storako wrote.
On social media this weekend, Storako documented her recruiting trip to Norman. According to social media posts, the weekend included visits with now-graduated Sooners Jocelyn Alo, Hope Trautwein, and Shannon Saile. Both Trautwein and Saile began their careers at other schools before transferring to OU.
Storako spent the last four seasons at Michigan and is a graduate transfer with a single season of eligibility remaining.
An All-American pitcher in 2021, Storako was the unanimous Big Ten Pitcher of the Year that season. She finishes her Wolverine career with a 1.71 lifetime ERA, 69 wins, and 901 strikeouts in more than 563 innings of work. This season, Storako reached the 300-strikeout plateau for the first time in her career. She also earned a career-high 25 wins in the circle.
Oklahoma’s pitching staff includes freshman sensation Jordy Bahl; sophomore Nicole May; and incoming freshman Kierston Deal.
