Bianka Bell Named Bryant Head Coach

Bryant has hired Bianka Bell as the program’s new head coach.

Bell spent the past two seasons on staff at Pittsburgh, serving as an assistant and working with the Panthers’ offense.

“I am so pleased to welcome Bianka to the Bryant University family as our next head softball coach,” Bryant athletic director Bill Smith said in a statement. “She brings a wealth of experience, both as a coach and as a Division I student-athlete at LSU. I was incredibly impressed with her professional and Team USA playing experiences, and she has quickly proven to be a rising star in the coaching world.”

Prior to her tenure at Pitt, Bell spent one season on staff at Quinnipiac and two years on staff at Embry-Riddle in Florida.

During her playing career, Bell earned a pair of All-American awards and was named All-SEC in every season of her career at LSU. She was part of two Women’s College World Series-participating squads. Following college, she played professionally in the National Pro Fastpitch league.
