Keagan Rothrock is one of the top players in the Class of 2023 and made national news last fall when she and Mia Williams became the first commits in the 7th grade class when both choose the Gators of Florida–Mia in October and Keagan in December.

Showing how highly respected she is at such a young age, Keagan picked Tim Walton’s program over other major schools like Oklahoma, Missouri, Auburn, Arizona State, Washington, Oregon, and Notre Dame.
The only child of Greg and Laura Rothrock, Keagan was born in January of 2005 and is 12U eligible, but plays at 14U with the Beverly Bandits team coached by Ramsey Harkness and is the ace on one of three Beverly Bandits teams to make the Extra Inning Softball Elite Club 50 Team Rankings.
Two years ago, Keagan helped TN Mojo 2023 win the PGF 10U National Championship and in 2017, as a first-year player, she pitched the Bandits to a 3rd place finish at PGF 12U Nationals.

The young hurler shined at the Pre-Thanksgiving Surf City Showcase in California to finish the fall season and, in front of more than 40 college coaches she was clocked at 64 mph. Keagan’s set-up pitches are her screwball and curve with her strikeout pitch being her high and low riseballs. Her spin is impressive, too, as her curve revs mark is 29 and her rise is 39.
Averaging more than two-plus K’s per inning, it’s not hard to see why she was so coveted by major programs across the country.
In her first blog for Extra Inning Softball, Keagan introduces herself and reveals the three places you’ll most likely find her and why, more often than not, you won’t find her at school on Fridays!

Hey! I am Keagan Rothrock!
Most people associate me with my dad, “the camera man,” who takes pictures for my team and of any friends on different teams who happen to be at the same ball park. He easily takes 1,000 to 3,000 pictures each weekend!
I am currently playing with the Beverly Bandits 14u Premier Futures-Harkness team and I am also committed to the University of Florida, which I did last December 15th! #GoGators

I am 13 years old and in the 7th grade. I live in Whiteland, Indiana and I go to CPMS (Whiteland Middle School).
Softball is my life and I love it!
But if you can’t find me on the softball field, you can either find me snuggled up with a book and my two-year-old chocolate lab puppy, Coco or helping out my mom (Laura Rothrock) with pitching lessons.
