In the coming weeks and months, expect to see fewer traditional written articles and more impactful video and audio segments—starting first with Madness Mondays, Wisdom Wednesdays, and Faith Fridays.

But with busier schedules and limited time, more and more of our audience is asking for content they can access without sitting down to read. That’s why we’re transitioning toward a digital-first model that prioritizes what’s most important: connection, convenience, and content that matters.

Madness Mondays: Hot Topics in Softball
Launching July 14, Madness Mondays is your new go-to for hot topic discussions in the softball world. Each episode features EIS staff diving into current headlines, social media debates, and the ever-changing landscape of the sport.
From controversial rule changes to standout performances and recruiting talk, Madness Mondays is where we talk about what everyone’s already thinking. Fast, opinionated, and thought-provoking, these conversations are designed to spark engagement and keep you in the loop.
Wisdom Wednesdays: Experience Meets Growth
Starting July 16, Wisdom Wednesdays is where wisdom meets growth. Each week delivers practical advice, real-world insight, and interviews with top coaches, athletes, and leaders. From building mental toughness to developing strong habits and leadership skills, you’ll get actionable takeaways to grow as a person and a player.
Quick to absorb but rich in value, Wisdom Wednesdays is designed for athletes striving to level up and parents supporting the journey. It’s all about growth that lasts—on and off the field.
Faith Fridays: Belief Strengthens Character
Faith Fridays launches July 18 and focuses on how belief strengthens character in the game and in life. Every week, members of the EIS team and special guests will share powerful stories about how faith plays a role in resilience, leadership, and personal growth.
These uplifting segments are perfect for ending the week with intention and inspiration, especially for those who understand that softball is about more than the scoreboard.
A Message from CEO Bonnie Holland
This digital expansion marks the next step in EIS’s evolution—and it’s one that’s been carefully planned.
“For years I have expressed my desire to transition Extra Inning Softball into more of a digital news outlet and navigate away from blog-style articles that most people do not have the time to read,” said Bonnie Holland, CEO of Extra Inning Softball.
“With the change of ownership 18 months ago, my primary focus was to build a team of experienced, women professionals and to revamp the rankings platform. Having accomplished this goal, my attention has turned towards modernizing Extra Inning Softball, and this means making our content more accessible to our audience. Besides, it’s more entertaining to listen and watch news than it is to read it—at least according to all the feedback I have received over the last few years. I haven’t met anyone yet that says they prefer written content over content they can watch.”
Voices From the Field Podcast
If you haven’t tuned in yet, now’s the time. Voices From the Field, the official podcast of Extra Inning Softball, is already streaming on Spotify and features honest conversations hosted by Carie Dever-Boaz (Operations Manager) and Katie Lively (Director of Communications).
