Milwaukee School of Engineering Hires Brooke Gajewski as First Full-Time Coach

Division III program Milwaukee School of Engineering has hired their first full-time softball coach in program history.

Brooke Gajewski will take over leadership of the program, the school announced last week, and will become the first coach in program history to be paid solely to coach softball.

In April, MSOE unveiled a plan to expand women’s sports at the school and Gajewski’s full-time status is part of that endeavor.

“We are excited to have Coach Gajewski step in to take the reins of the program. She had a very accomplished career as a player and has been well groomed for the job by her experiences at Quincy and UW-Parkside,” MSOE athletic director Brian Miller said in a school statement. “Brooke was very aligned with our mission which is critical as we venture forward with our growth in women’s sports. With a new stadium on the way and a veteran team intact, the Raiders are set for a strong future. I am confident Coach Gajewski will lead the Raiders to continued success.”

A former Division II star at McKendree, Gajewski spent the last two years as an assistant coach at Quincy University and previously spent time on staff at Wisconsin-Parkside.

The MSOE program may never have had a full-time coach in the past, but one thing the Raiders have had is success – the Raiders have won the conference tournament twice in the last three full seasons and have twice reached the NCAA tournament in the same time period.
