Whew!
What a fantastic, fun, frantic and fastpitch-frenzied ride it’s been since the Premier Girls Fastpitch (PGF) Nationals 2018 edition started on Saturday, July 21, 2018 and featured over 500 teams and more than 1,850 games covering the age division of 18U down to 10U before it wrapped up two weeks later, yesterday, Saturday, August 4, 2018.
This was the ninth year co-founders Dan Hay and Gary Haning and their staff has put on the PGF Nationals in Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley and Irvine, California and it continues to grow with more teams and fields expected in 2019.
It’s amazing to think back upon the first year–2010–when there were just two title games–18U and 16U–and this year there were nine covering the Premier and Platinum levels.
Congratulations to the winners of this year’s National Championship games who not only will have their photos placed on the PGF headquarter walls in Huntington Beach, they can say they join an elite club of the best players and teams in the game.
