College softball is well underway and that means high school softball isn’t far behind!
Starting next week, Extra Inning Softball will once again run our Extra Elite Eighty High School Rankings led by Mark Tennis, the long-time rankings expert on high school sports nationally and in California as he is the producer and editor of CalHiSports.com, the best source of all things in prep sports across the Golden State!
As is always the case, teams in California like Villa Park, led by fantastic pitcher Sydney Somerndike, who is signed with Arizona, look strong–especially as the Spartans return almost their entire team.
Also in Cali look for St. Francis (Mountain View) to be strong once again after going 24-0 and winning the Central Coast Section championship.
But don’t discount teams in Texas, Florida and Arizona–three perennially powerhouse states–either!
