The Canadian national team has announced the rosters for the WBSC World Cup and the Canada Cup events this summer.
Former Olympic bronze medalist and current Florida State assistant coach Kaleigh Rafter returns for her second year as the Canadian head coach. Her coaching staff includes UCF assistant Jenn Salling; Arizona assistant Christian Conrad; Chris Jones, as well as another Olympic medalist in Joey Lye, who serves as Team Leader.
Team Canada will compete in the the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup in late July in Italy, as well as in the Canada Cup in mid-July in British Columbia. Florida State head coach Lonni Alameda will serve as an additional assistant coach at the Canada Cup.
Sixteen players make up the roster for the World Cup event, including seven members of the 2020 Olympic bronze medal-winning squad. An additional five players will join the squad for the Canada Cup.
