The 18U Tier 1 championship matchup was decided with some ease on Saturday at the Alliance Fastpitch Championship Series, but the 16U division came down to the wire to determine who would play for a title.
In the 18U round, OC Batbusters Stith dispatched Iowa Premier in one game; the Batbusters relied on what has been their strength throughout the tournament, their power, en route to a 6-1 victory. The Batbusters are the defending champions of the event and are now officially set to defend their title.
Aces Fastpitch and Fury Platinum X Higdon faced off for the other spot in the 18U championship round; undefeated in the AFCS to that point, the Aces continued their hard-hitting ways at the plate, tacking six runs onto the stellar Fury Platinum pitching staff and picking up the 6-0 win to advance.
Both 18U games were decided without any ‘if necessary’ games being played, but the same was not the case in the 16U division.
Iowa Premier 16U faced off against Texas Glory Naudin, while Impact Gold Jazz 16U took on Bombers Gold National.
