Valparaiso has hired Meaggan Pettipiece as their new head coach.
Pettipiece fills the vacancy created in late July when Amada Eberhart departed to take a position on staff at Notre Dame. The Beacons have been without a coach or coaching staff since that time.
Most recently, Pettipiece spent three years as the head coach at Akron. She coached the Zips through the 2020 and 2021 seasons and was in charge of the program at the start of the 2022 campaign, but was placed on leave in the early portion of the year and later parted ways with Akron in late March.
During her tenure at Akron, the Zips were 20-83.
Prior to her tenure at Akron, Pettipiece was an assistant at Kent State and previously spent a decade-long stint as head coach at Northwood University.
