The 16-team field has been announced for the 2024 TaxAct Clearwater Invitational.
Next year’s group of participating teams was announced during the Florida State vs. Alabama broadcast on ESPN. The Clearwater tournament is put on annually by ESPN’s events arm.
Georgia Tech, North Carolina, and Stanford are scheduled to make their inaugural appearances in Clearwater in 2024. For the first time, the entire 16-team field will be made up of Power 5 programs. UCF will play in the tournament for the first time as a Big 12 program, as the Knights are scheduled to join the league on July 1st of this year.
Tournament stalwarts Florida State and Oklahoma State will return to Clearwater in 2024; the Seminoles and Cowgirls are the only programs to appear in the tournament annually since its formation in 2019.
Four SEC teams are scheduled to take part in the 2024 tournament, including Georgia; Kentucky; LSU; and Tennessee. The ACC, Big 10, Big 12, and PAC-12 will each be represented by three teams each.
The full list of participating teams includes Florida State (ACC); Georgia (SEC); Georgia Tech (ACC); Kentucky (SEC); LSU (SEC); Minnesota (Big 10); North Carolina (ACC); Northwestern (Big 10); Oklahoma State (Big 12); Stanford (PAC-12); Tennessee (SEC); Texas (Big 12); UCF (Big 12); UCLA (PAC-12); Washington (PAC-12); and Wisconsin (Big 10).
