2022 Extra Inning Softball All-Freshman Team

The 2022 Extra Inning Softball All-Freshman Team has been announced.

Including sixteen of the brightest rookie standouts in Division 1 softball, the list includes representatives from sixteen different schools and twelve conferences. Conferences boasting multiple players on the list include the SEC, PAC-12, Conference USA, and the ACC.

Three players who have helped lead their respective teams to the Women’s College World Series made the list, in Oklahoma’s Jordy Bahl; Florida’s Kendra Falby; and Oregon State’s Sarah Haendiges.

Fourteen of the sixteen players were also listed as Top 25 finalists for the NFCA’s National Freshman of the Year award.

The breakdown of the All-Freshman Team includes that there are six pitchers and ten position players, as well as seven Power 5 players and nine players from “mid-major” programs.
