We thought maybe there would be a dip in the number of 2020 and 2021 verbals this week after having 71, 43 and 55 updates in the previous three weeks.
Nope.
We have 65-plus new updates in the Extra Inning Softball Signing/Verbal Database this week and here’s what’s crazy: we could have the most of the fall so far NEXT WEEK!
Why? Because we’re working on the 2020 Extra Elite 100 and the Extra Elite Eighty 18U Club Rankings which start Monday and expect a lot of new additions and club changes for top players to come to light!
Check back tomorrow (Thursday) when we’ll run the list of the new updated verbals and/or club changes of committed players.
Thanks to all those who let us know about the new commits via Twitter and Facebook… we appreciate you forwarding or tagging us @ExtraInningSB.
Here are a just a few from the last week starting with a nice pair of 2021 pickups by Alabama, which got OF Dallis Goodnight with Georgia Impact-Lewis and SS/C Kali Heivilin of the Indiana Magic Gold, both of whom are highly ranked in the Extra Elite ratings!

We always welcome emails from players, parents and coaches sharing the good news!
Here’s one we liked from this week…
*** Mary Beth Cahalan, a 2020 catcher and corner infielder for the Georgia Impact-Wright team coached by Joe Wright, wrote us this week to say she’s going Ivy League after committing two months ago:
“I committed at an early age because I felt pressured to make a decision with the rest of my teammates. However, I continued to develop as a player and the more I considered my decision, the less confident I felt about it.”
In the back of my mind, it had always been my dream to pursue Ivy League, but I never thought I’d have the opportunity. The spring of my junior year I felt like it was the best decision for me to de-commit and pursue the Ivy League route.”
I had interest from and visited several schools before making a decision on Dartmouth. After visiting the campus and meeting with the coaches and players, it felt like a great fit for me academically and athletically. I officially committed on August 25, 2019, and I am very excited to see what my college experience entails! Go Big Green!”
