In a battle on Thursday at the Clearwater Classic matching two Top 15-ranked teams in the latest Extra Inning Softball College Top 25, #7 Florida State defeated #13 Tennessee 9-3 behind the big bat of Mack Leonard, who went 3-for-3 including a three-run home run.
Though still young in the 2022 season, Leonard has been on fire as she’s leading the Seminoles with a .667 average (10-for-15) with a pair of home runs and eight RBIs in her first six games (all victories). She’s also walked four times and has a .737 on-base percentage.
Extra Inning Softball’s Jessie Warren sat down earlier this week with the senior pitcher/first baseman who transferred to FSU from Illinois State after leading the Redbirds last year with a .425 batting average, 10 home runs and 38 RBIs…
