Cydney Sanders Transferring to Oklahoma

All-American Cydney Sanders is transferring to Oklahoma, she announced on social media.

Alongside a photo of herself in a Sooner uniform, Sanders added the simple caption “Excited for this opportunity. #Boomer”.

During her freshman season at Arizona State in 2022, Sanders was named the PAC-12’s Freshman of the Year and was a first-team All-American after the season. She was also a top-3 finalist for National Freshman of the Year.

Sanders finished second on the Sun Devil roster with a .425 batting average in 2022, notching 21 home runs; 63 RBIs; and a slugging percentage of .952. Her home run total set a new single-single ASU program record.
