Extra Inning Softball to Feature FREE AthletesGoLive Leaderboards Starting September 1

Beginning Friday, Sept. 1, 2023, Extra Inning Softball will offer a National Leaderboard, powered by AthletesGoLive for the 2023-2024 season.

The new feature, says AthletesGoLive CEO Andrew Biele, is for everyone in the country.

“It doesn’t matter if you play locally or nationally,” he explains, “It doesn’t matter if you play Alliance, ASA, PGF, NSA, Triple Crown, USFA, USSSA or somewhere else, we look to help your team and your players get recognized!”

How does it work?  What does it cost?

The concept is simple: teams can now score and stream for FREE and all parents, family and friends can WATCH live for FREE on AthletesGoLive.

There is also a fundraising feature on AthletesGoLive that will show teams, coaches, players and families how to fundraise, which is also included for FREE.

Biele, himself a former club coach, explains how the process will work:

“Your game stats and video will be pushed to Extra Inning Softball and your games stats will automatically populate to our leaderboard.”

And important note, he adds, is teams must score AND stream to be on Leaderboards; you can’t just score and have the data on the boards.

What does EIS Think?

Brentt Eads, the President & Executive Editor of Extra Inning Softball (“EIS”), feels the new service will help athletes get their names, information and even game clips out more for all to see.

“This is a great resource for us at EIS to help promote athletes editorially and we’re excited to have the additional information on the site as another way to promote the sport.

Eads says there have been concerns expressed that, regarding Extra Elite 100 rankings, players and their families must use the Leaderboards to be considered.

“It is not a requirement, but we do recommend it as it is free to use and it does give us additional data and video to evaluate players,” the founder of EIS explains. “We support AGL and what they present—and certainly feel the data and video clips will give viewers more insight into the athlete’s abilities.

“But for the value it presents and all the benefits—with over 2,500 tournaments, 17,000 teams and 255,000 athletes on the platform—we’re fans of what AGL is doing.”
