The Fuels Behind Kyla Cochran’s Drive
Kyla Cochran is a driven and competitive softball player excelling as a hitting pitcher. At just 11 years old, she finished the fall 2024 season with a .449 batting average, a 1.158 OPS, and hit a personal record of 61 mph. Known for her precision and fierce mentality, she’s earned the nickname “The Wolf.”
A multi-sport athlete in basketball and soccer, Cochran balances athletics with academics, maintaining a 4.0 GPA. Beyond sports, she thrives in public speaking and the arts, landing a lead role in her school’s theater production. With relentless dedication and a goal-oriented mindset, she aspires to play college softball as a two-way player, proving that hard work leads to limitless possibilities.
At Extra Inning Softball, we believe that the impact of the game goes far beyond the field. Our Extra Impact Ambassadors represent the next generation of athletes who are not only dedicated to their craft but are also committed to uplifting those around them. Over the next several weeks, we will introduce each ambassador as they share personal stories of how someone has empowered, inspired, and supported them throughout their softball journey.
These young athletes will reflect on the mentors, coaches, teammates, and family members who have helped shape them into the players and people they are today. Through their stories, we hope to showcase the power of leadership, encouragement, and perseverance in the softball community.
