The annual ESPY Awards are being handed out this week; while many of the awards will be presented on a full-fledged awards show airing on ABC on Wednesday night, a handful of award winners have already been announced.

Such was the case for the winner in the category of Best College Athlete, Women’s Sports, which was announced on Tuesday as Oklahoma slugger Jocelyn Alo.

Alo set the NCAA home run record this season, finishing her illustrious career with a total of 122 longballs. Alo was the first college softball player to cross into triple digits into home runs and ended her career as the premier slugger in NCAA diamond sports, hitting more home runs than any other college softball or baseball player in history.

This season, Alo was named the Women’s College World Series’ Most Outstanding Player, won the Honda Sport Award for softball, was named the National Player of the Year, earned Big 12 Player of the Year honors, and was a unanimous First-Team All-American.
