Pitt head coach Jodi Hermanek will not return next season, the school announced on Monday morning.

Hermanek, whose contract expires following this season, is completing her fifth season leading the Panthers in 2023. She owns an overall record of 76-134 during her tenure.

Following a season-ending weekend sweep against NC State, Hermanek owns a 29-82 record against ACC opponents.

In Hermanek’s first season in 2019, the Panthers finished in last place in the ACC Coastal Division. Since the league moved away from the divisional model, Pitt has finished in 11th (2021) and 13th (2022) places in the ACC standings. The Panthers currently sit in 12th place in the 2023 standings, a half-game out of last place.

Prior to Pitt, Hermanek was head coach at Ohio and Southern Utah and an assistant at CSU Pueblo. She played college softball at CSU Pueblo from 1995-99.
