Joe Guthrie Named Inaugural Head Coach at Northeast Alabama Community College

Northeast Alabama Community College has hired Joe Guthrie as the program’s inaugural head coach.

Guthrie spent the 2023 season as an assistant coach on staff at Texas A&M, primarily focused on working with the team’s defense.

His resume includes extensive experience in Alabama, including six years as head coach at Marion Military Institute. He also spent four years at UAB, including two as an assistant and two years as head coach of the Blazers.

In addition to his experience in Alabama, Guthrie also spent one season on staff at Louisiana-Lafayette, one season at Bucknell, and two seasons at Penn State.
