UTSA head coach Michelle Cheatham is departing the program after ten seasons at the helm.
During Cheatham’s tenure, the Roadrunners amassed a 197-287 overall record.
“Michelle has been invaluable to this program’s fabric for 22 years, starring as a player, building the program as an assistant and then impacting the lives of scores of Roadrunners as their head coach – helping them to become outstanding students and strong young women in our program,” UTSA athletic director Lisa Campos said in a statement. “She has been an exceptional ambassador for the program and will always be a part of the UTSA Athletics family. We wish her nothing but the best moving forward.”
Prior to taking over as head coach of the Roadrunners, Cheatham spent eight seasons as an assistant coach with the program. A program alumnus, she earned all-conference twice during her playing career and still holds the single-season record with 455 putouts in 2002.
