Oklahoma State Signs Kenny Gajewski to Contract Extension

Kenny Gajewski has agreed to a contract extension to remain at Oklahoma State. The deal is set to run through 2027.

The school announced the new agreement on Saturday morning, just hours after Gajewski’s Cowgirls clinched their third-consecutive trip to the Women’s College World Series by virtue of a Super Regional win over Clemson.

Since Gajewski arrived in Stillwater ahead of the 2015 season, Oklahoma State has reached the postseason in every year it was held, including six Regionals and three Super Regional trips, in addition to the trio of trips to the World Series.

The Cowgirls also won their first Big 12 conference title this season when they beat Oklahoma to win the conference tournament.

“Coach Gajewski has built Cowgirl Softball into a perennial national contender”, OSU athletic director Chad Weiberg said in a statement. “He has established Stillwater as a destination for elite softball players and model student-athletes. Consistent leadership is important to build a championship program the right way. Kenny wants to continue what he has started here and there is no one better to do so. We look forward to him leading OSU Softball for a long time”.

Prior to taking the reins of the Cowgirls’ program, Gajewski was part of two national championships as an assistant coach at Florida. He was also part of the 1994 Oklahoma baseball team that won a national championship.
