During the Bedlam rivalry series against Oklahoma, Oklahoma State announced last week that some program greats would be greeting fans as part of the weekend festivities.
Samantha Show, who spent just one year in Cowgirl colors but made herself a household name in the sport in the process, was present on Friday night, signing autographs for fans and, later, throwing out the ceremonial first pitch.
Show began her playing career at Texas A&M before transferring to OSU. A two-way star, she became known as the “Bat Flip Queen”, a moniker that was even included in her introduction on Friday night at Cowgirl Stadium. Show led the Cowgirls to the Women’s College World Series that year and became a nationally-known star.
Following her career at OSU, Show has gone on to a professional career that includes tenures as part of Athletes Unlimited, as well as with the USSSA Pride.
