Jourdyn has been a force on the Texas softball scene for years and has been playing at the 18U level since the 8th grade.
She’s a power-hitting threat who was a 1st Team Extra Inning Softball All-American and Top 20 honoree in the Extra Elite 100. A versatile player who can play everywhere on the field, she went on a hot streak at nationals this summer and hit a home run in seven consecutive games.
Jourdyn was appreciative of all those who attended her signing with Texas A&M saying:
“I was with my parents, Sam and Lisa; my sister Gabby; Coach KC Jackson, Coach Hendrix; Coach Ravlin, Coach Fisher; my teammates and friends and family that have supported me throughout my career.”

1. Where did you sign your Letter of Intent Wednesday?
I signed my NLI at the Charles Bender Performing Arts Center in Humble ISD.
2. Sounds like you were with a lot of people to do it at a performing arts center!
It was a BIG occasion! There were 24 student-athletes from all five high schools in our district that signed on the same day. I had a lot of family, friends, teammates, and coaches there to help me celebrate.
3. Did you do anything afterwards to celebrate?
After the district signing, I went to lunch with my family and one of my best friends. Then I went to school and had a party with my coaches and teammates.
4. What date did you actually commit and how long ago was it?
I committed to Texas A&M on January 31, 2015 when I was in the 8th grade.
