The Terrific Ten has you covered on all the best highlights from all the action across college softball on Friday!

1. Kasey Hamilton was sensational in the circle for Kansas as she led the Jayhawks to a 9-3 upset win over Texas at McCombs Field in Austin. The Jayhawks were aggressive and poised on both sides of the ball from the early-goings, took advantage of Texas mistakes to score early and often, and Hamilton led from the circle, a complete-game, 5-strikeout performance. It was KU’s first win against Texas since 2016.
2. Utah made waves with a 4-1 win over Stanford on Friday, taking the series opener against the Cardinal and setting the tone for a weekend that has big implications in the PAC-12 race. The Utes scored in the first inning, then put together a 3-run fifth that vaulted them to victory; a Sophie Jacquez RBI single gave the Utes the lead for good before an error by the Stanford defense allowed two insurance runs to score. Utah’s 12 hits were the most allowed in a single game by Stanford’s pitching staff this year, while Mariah Lopez turned in a six-strikeout complete game in the circle.
3. Northern Kentucky pitcher Lauryn Hicks made history for the Norse, throwing a no-hitter against Detroit Mercy, the first time a Norse pitcher has no-hit a Division 1 opponent. Hicks collected sixteen strikeouts in the game, retiring 21 batters in a row to finish the game, and her Ks set another program record at the Division 1 level.
4. An offensive explosion vaulted Texas Tech to a scoring-heavy 10-8 win over Baylor on Friday, with the Red Raiders breaking the program’s single-season home run record along the way. Demi Elder hit the 67th home run of Texas Tech’s season, but her longball also provided the Red Raiders a lead that they would not relinquish as they went on to record their fourth win over a ranked opponent this season.
5. Skylar Wallace took matters into her own hands on Friday night, leading the Florida offense in a 13-4 Gators victory over visiting Georgia. Wallace hit a trio of home runs, including a leadoff longball in the first inning, to vault the Gators to the impressive, run-rule-shortened and lopsided victory. It’s the first time this season that Wallace has hit multiple home runs in a game and it was the third time that Florida reached double-digits in scoring against an SEC opponent.
