EXTRA ELITE EIGHTY 16U SPOTLIGHT
The Extra Elite Eighty 16U Club Rankings were recently released and TLI will be taking a look at the teams that made the top 80 for the next few weeks.
Today the spotlight is on …
INDIANA MAGIC GOLD 04-KLEINER/BAY
Extra Elite Eighty 16U Ranking: T-63
Head Coach: Co-head coach BRIAN GREEN and STEPHANIE KLEINER
Summer 2020 Record: They went 38-10 with notable wins over OC Batbusters and Beverly Bandits-Helbling (three times) and they won the Scenic City Championship.
2020 Fall Record: They had quality wins over Texas Bombers-Burgess, OC Batbusters-Bracamonte, Firecrackers Bordeau/Blades, Beverly Bandits Premier-Conroy and AP Gold-Barfield Bird.
Has your team earned an invite to PGF Nationals or AFCS? They had an invite to PGF 16U Premier Nationals, but they are choosing to go to the AFCS after earning a Tier 1 berth.

The Roster:
- Kylee Edwards (2023, MIF, highly-recruited by Power 5 schools, she’s one of the top MIFs in the Midwest, has incredible speed and she can slap, bunt or hit away)
- Erin Hoehn (2023, P/UT, highly recruited by the SEC and Big Ten schools, she has incredible spin and movement, runs in the 61-63 mph range and swings a big bat)
- Indiana-commit Avery Parker (2022, C/3B, incredible power at the plate, highly effective speed on the bases and incredible communication)
- Kentucky-commit Karissa Hamilton (2022, C/OF/SS, one of the most consistent bats on the team, a speed demon on the bases and great knowledge of the game)
- Penn State-commit Paige Maynard (2022, P, tops out 67 mph in game, has worked hard on her change-up, forces grounders with her drop ball and works inside on batters very well)
- Southern Illinois-commit Haley Wilkerson (2022, C/3B, arguably has the strongest arm in the Midwest, reaches balls all over the left side of the field and her knowledge of the game makes her very dangerous on the bases)
- Bradley-commit Lauren DeRolf (2022, OF, fastest home-to-first at IMG Combine, cannon for an arm and a lead-off that can slap, hit or bunt)
- Coppin State-commit Aniyah Haley (2022, OF, a great overall utility player, speed makes her effective in OF and IF and she has a strong bat)
- Indiana Wesleyan-commit Natalie Deck (2022, OF)
- Alexa Holman (2022, P, a very effective screwball/rise ball combo, has added a curveball and her movement is fantstic)
- Kinsey Pfeiffer (2022, 1B/3B, leads the team in doubles)
- Brynn Libler (2022, UT)
What will it take for your team to be successful this season?
To be successful this season, our team needs to hit from the top to bottom of the lineup. Ninety percent of the time, we’re game-on, bats are insanely hot. Many have said the lineup is abusive. In the fall, we played without Edwards at SS. But adding her back to this team will make our infield top in speed and athleticism. With Hoehn back full time from volleyball, the pitching staff is extremely balanced with speed, movement and depth.
