Stars of Texas Invitational Returns in 2026

Stars of Texas Invitational Returns in 2026

EXTRA INNING SOFTBALLThe Stars of Texas Invitational is quickly establishing itself as one of the most competitive early-season fastpitch tournaments in the country—and Year Two is shaping up to be even stronger.

Scheduled for February 28–March 1, 2026, in the Houston area, this elite invitational will feature top-level teams in the 8U–14U divisions, with more than 80 teams already registered. For programs looking to open their season against serious competition, this is where reputations are tested early.

Led by Proven Leadership

The tournament is led by Jimmy Greer, owner and director of Stars of Texas, whose vision for this event is clear: create a high-level, no-fluff environment where elite teams can measure themselves against the best.

Unlike open-entry tournaments, Stars of Texas is by invitation only. Teams are selected based on a demonstrated history of competing at the highest levels of fastpitch. That intentional approach is exactly why the event has gained immediate credibility in just its second year.

EXTRA INNING SOFTBALL
A True Early-Season Benchmark

What makes this tournament stand out is timing and purpose. After a short offseason break, many of the nation’s top programs use Stars of Texas as their season kickoff—not to collect easy wins, but to find out where they truly stand.

This event offers:

  • High-caliber matchups from the first pitch

  • A competitive atmosphere that mirrors late-season intensity

  • A realistic snapshot of a team’s readiness heading into spring and summer play

In my opinion, early tournaments like this matter more than mid-season blowouts. They expose weaknesses, demand focus, and set the tone for the year ahead.

Stars of Texas: Pay Attention

Stars of Texas is not trying to be the biggest tournament—it’s focused on being the right tournament. Quality over quantity. Competition over convenience. Development over hype.

For teams serious about growth, accountability, and competing against peers who expect the same standard, this event delivers.

As the 2026 season approaches, Stars of Texas is positioning itself as a must-play invitational for elite youth fastpitch programs. If Year One was proof of concept, Year Two is confirmation.
