Tell me about your high school experience this past year?
High school has been crazy since Covid. I personally have not had one whole consistent year in high school, yet, because of Covid.
Tell us about your travel team/organization and how you became involved with them?
I began playing for my coach’s organization GXE at the age of 11. He coached 14U at the time, by the age 12 I joined his team which had moved up to 16U. We then became the Batbusters for a while before joining the EC Bullets organization. We have been with the Bullets for almost three years now. I really love being a part of this organization and being able to play for the same coach since I was 12. Playing up above my age group has always made me a more competitive player. Coach Mike Prairie’s daughter, Becca Prairie, a former Georgia Tech catcher, was also part of the EC Bullets during her travel years.
Can you talk about your experience at national events?
Although the very last game of every Nationals I end up getting hurt in some type of way, I love being able to be at Nationals. The whole week there is so much fun with the team and great bonding experiences. I enjoy being able to play some of the best teams in the country. You get to see so much different talent and be able to meet new people. It is always a great experience no matter where you travel to play!
What should we expect from your club team this summer?
I believe this summer we will be a stronger group of girls competing at the National levels. We will be playing an extremely competitive schedule, which will make us better as a team.

Can you talk about your training regiment? Do you have any tips?
I work out every day at school in my weight class. Also, I have a personal trainer to work out with 3-4 days a week. I do a lot of HITT training to help build my core and strength. I have a variety of drills I work on for hitting and catching. I take back drills from college coaches and apply them to my everyday work. My biggest tip would be even on the days you don’t feel like training, go any way and push yourself because the hard work always pays off!!
How has the recruiting process been going?
My recruiting process has been an adventure. So far everything is going really well with it. I’ve enjoyed being able to talk and meet different coaches and look forward to my future.
Do you have a secret talent/skill?
I like to sing and dance and make new friends every time I go places.
What’s your most memorable softball story?
During my sophomore year in the first round of playoffs, we had lost our first game, 8-0, against Jones County. We had to win (the second) game to be able to play again the next day for a chance to advance to the Sweet 16. During our second game, I hit back-to-back home runs. One was a three-run home run and the other was a two-run home run. That helped put my team way ahead. The other team did not catch up and we won the game!!
