Tomorrow, the Select 30 teams will be announced in the High School, 2024 and 2025 classes in the USSSA-produced Selection Show that will be aired at 4:30 pm EST.
One of the most impressive athletes at the Select 30 National Training Camp, held in late December in Viera, Florida, was pitcher Mimi Gooden who received well-deserved national exposure at the event.
The 2023 hurler from Milton Florida, who played on Shay Knighten’s team at the Select 30, hit as high as 63 mph on the radar gun pitching in games and drills and also had good movement on her pitches.
Equally impressive were her testing marks in the Skills Challenge as Mimi finished in the top 10 in categories like the 20-yard dash, med ball throw and overhand velocity throw.
Here’s more on Mimi, who plays club ball with All-Out 04 program, and is a player to watch from the Sunshine State…
